Tommy is a retired Lt. Colonel, who served 20 years on active duty in the United States Air Force as a contracting officer and judge advocate ("JAG").

He received his J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and his bachelor of science in economics from the United States Air Force Academy, where he graduated with military distinction.

Tommy is currently an attorney at law with Williams, Parker, Harrison, Dietz & Getzen, focusing on land use and labor and employment law. He is also a member of the Tiger Bay Club and Military Officers Association of Sarasota.
